Notes from the August meeting

The club has purchased a boat! We are now the owners of a mighty Zodiac with outboard motor, formerly owned by Jim Campos. We're working on getting insurance and will schedule some time for boat operation classes.

We discussed the possibility of hosting another "Underwater Monopoly" fundraiser. We could do one big gala event, or periodically host Monopoly games during classes at the pool. We'll have more brief discussions in the future.

Amanda White presented some very interesting details about commercial diving in the Gulf of Mexico. This kind of diving is way different from what we do!

The judging for the 2007 photo contest has been postponed to the September meeting.

If you're wondering where the discussion forums went, they've moved to RUEG.org.

Treasury Report for August 2007

After the purchase of boat & motor (a steal at $1500), our account has a balance of $920.65.
